At age 20, Edward lived with his two brothers. Edward never married. At age 25, he lived with his brother, Henry, Henry’s wife, Francis, and their first child, Clayton. At age 35, he lived alone, and at age 40, he lived with his brother, Henry, again. At age 45 and 50, he lived in New London, with his sister, Ida Allen, who had been adopted shortly after birth. At age 60, he lived alone just outside New London.

He died in hospital and is buried with his parents at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
