That August she was married to Edward Find in Chicago. Edward was a first generation American born in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, whose parents were from Germany (Prussia). He had 5 siblings. Before marriage, Edward worked a while as a waiter, served in the Illinois Infantry during the Spanish-American War, and was an insurance agent in Chicago.
In 1905 Edward and Florence lived in Marathon County, north of Wausau. By 1908, Edward tried his hand at farming on 40 acres of land near Shiocton, Outagamie County. By 1920, Edward and Florence were in Stiles, WI, 25 miles north of Green Bay, and Edward was farming.
In 1930, Edward had claimed a service-connected disability, claimed to be 10 years older than his early records indicated, was retired, living with Florence in Northport near many of her Babcock relatives. Within years, Edward and Florence were both dead and buried in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. They never had children.
